The painting on the right was made originally because I wanted to paint a baby in a fetal position. I found that using two colors (blue and white) would be a lot more helpful in creating realism. On the monkey king painting, I wanted to try and work more on realism while continuing to do what I usually do and adding my own "Joaquin" touch to the art. In this case, I did the same but with a lot more to look at visually. I used some gold as highlights for the fetal baby. Eventually, I painted the mouth which I thought turned out really well for a 2nd attempt compared to the previous. I added a cigarette where the needle was originally but decided it'd look better in the hands of the baby, hence the smoke. The piece overall doesn't have much meaning other than to show a variety of drugs, including heroin, methamphetamine, prescription drugs, and tobacco. I like to call this L.S.D. (Long Dream Scene) You could call it a joint if you want, interpretation is up to the viewer. Below are references, and to the left is a clown that I found to be good support for the main painting.
