This painting although difficult was a great learning process for me. I discovered a 6 and half hour album called "Everywhere At The End Of Time", a compilation that goes through 6 of 7 stages of dementia/memory loss. I listened to all of it, and it definitely messed me up. Although I can't 100% portray what that must be for someone, I can do my best to paint what it felt like for me to listen to it. Aside from the heavy themes of the painting's inspiration, I also just felt like making a sad clown painting. I think lots of ambient music has been helping with creating and destroying this painting since it has gone through at least 4 different re-dos of the face, which might be worth it in the end result. I have no support piece made which isn't good but I do have a lot of sketches that have been kind of backing it up. Below this block of text you can find paintings that have been used as some reference for the clown painting, as well as the link to the album (I honestly would just listen to stage 1, 4, and 6 of it.) Below are two referenes/inspiraitons and a photo of clown progress.
