Here I wanted to experiment with painting eyes and teeth. Shown in the progress photo below the main piece, I originally went for a portfolio design. I took a photo of a broken porcelain doll that was bought from the thrift store; I took inspiration from its shattered face which quickly made me scrap the design I originally had and make something new out of it. To some extent, the process and theme of the painting could be rebirth and destruction. I decided to make the re-do painting have a look based on the Grammy award-winning album IGOR  from rapper and designers Tyler the Creator. I listened to most of the album to draw some inspiration while painting which helped a lot in getting the face and the eyes. I think an improvement I could work on is making the red of the eyes and nose sections less monochrome.
